• A constant contact and familiarity with the Word of God, participation in the Eucharistic celebration, frequent reception of the sacrament of reconciliation (cfr RF, 193.1).

 Evaluation:

  • Evaluation on the general performance of candidates has to be done at the end of each Semester.
  • The evaluation will include candidate’s prayer life, community life, sense of belonging to the Congregation, apostolic life, physical and mental health, affective maturity, obedience and intellectual capacities.
  • Report of the candidates' performance should be sent to their parents and parish priest after each semester examination.
  • If an aspirant leaves or is asked to discontinue, the matter has to be communicated to the candidate's parents and parish priest in writing with the reason. This has to be done in consultation with the Vocation Co-ordinator.
  • The fitness of an aspirant for promotion to Postulancy should be evaluated by the local Council for Formation.
  • If there are doubts about the fitness of a candidate, he may be given another opportunity or may be asked to discontinue.
  • On promotion to Postulancy a detailed report on each candidate must be sent to the master of Postulants.

Goal to be achieved: Clarity over the choice of life and human-Christian integrity.
