It was a unique experience for each of the 1st year Aspirants who attended the 9th Annual Faith Sharing Programme organized by the Archdiocese of Guwahati from 23rd to 29th January 2017 at Ranjuli Parish for all the formees of different Congregations. Over 700 Junior Sisters, Novices, Postulants, Aspirants, Candidates, Brothers and Seminarians attended the Faith sharing Programme. The main thrust of the event was to give an experience in the work of Evangelization and an understanding of the socio, cultural and pastoral realities of the North-East region of India. All those who are in formation were given an opportunity to become more aware of their call to be close to the people, sharing their joys and sorrows and experiencing their life in their own life situations. The 6-day programme was consisted of in-put, visit to villages in small groups under helpful guidance to have an experiential knowledge of the lifestyle of the people in the rural areas and to avail this chance to share their faith and the Gospel values not only to the Christians but also with the Hindus, Muslims and to the people belonging to different tribal religions. Our aspirants were extremely happy to be part of the event and commented that this was a rare opportunity to meet brothers and sisters from different congregations and different places.  They became more aware of the importance of learning the languages of other people, the cultures, and their faith belief. The prayers, mass and the experiences shared by so many missionaries and Bishops strengthened and molded their faith. We wish and pray that our young aspirants will live the lessons from this unique experience in the days to come.
