St Pauls Institute of Communication Education (SPICE), Mumbai, invited Shonali Burke for a special input session on Influence of Marketing. The session was held on Monday 9 January 2017. All the students of PG Programme (Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations) at SPICE participated in the day-long class. Burke is an acclaimed and award-winning Social PR strategist, teacher and trainer for a deep dive into the skills, tools and workflows that today’s PR pros must have or cultivate to stay competent in the field in the digital age. Thanks to the speed of the information age that business communicators today have to function—not just function but function well—in a rapidly changing scenario. The intensive one-day training programme offered students how to deconstruct smart Social PR and how they could put it to work for themselves and their organizations. They were also offered input on how to teach students to conduct a Social PR audit for their communication efforts and how to measure and communicate their results smartly and effectively to their C-Suite. The department of Public Relations at SPICE took the entire initiative to organize this long-awaited lecture.
