The Pauline Family witnessed a moment of grace and collaboration as provincial teams (SSP, DSP & PDDM) gathered for their third Provincial Government Meeting, marked by reflection, dialogue, and renewed commitment to their shared apostolic mission.

The meeting was held on 11 April 2026 at the newly inaugurated Provincialate of the PDDM, Alberione Oasis, Kengeri, Bengaluru. The participants were warmly welcomed with bouquets and a graceful dance performance by the pre-novices.

The meeting commenced at 9:30 a.m. with a prayer, presided over by Sr Celine Cunha, Provincial of the PDDM. Sr Jincy presented the minutes of the previous meeting, followed by a review of the earlier action plans. Important aspects related to the apostolate were discussed, clarified, and mutually agreed upon to ensure smoother functioning and stronger inter-congregational relationships.

Following the tea break, an enriching input session was led by Fr (Dr) Selvaraj Arulnathan SJ, Director of the Indian Social Institute (ISI), Bengaluru, on the theme “Social Aspects of the Pauline Apostolate in the Present Scenario.” He highlighted the contemporary social realities and contexts in which the Pauline mission is being carried out today. He also encouraged the participants to critically review and creatively restructure their existing strategies for greater relevance and effectiveness.

The post-lunch session began at 3:00 PM with an informative presentation by Mr Dias Jacob, a well-known chartered accountant from Bengaluru, on the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) and the proposed Amendment Bill of 2026. He elaborated on the motivations behind the amendments, their implications, and the necessary steps each congregation ought to take to remain compliant and well prepared.

After a brief tea break, the final session focused on sharing and planning. The participants engaged in meaningful discussions and arrived at several common proposals to strengthen collaboration.

At 6:45 p.m., Fr Joby Mathew, Provincial Superior of the SSP, celebrated the Holy Eucharist for all present. This was followed by a lively and joyful recreation session animated by Fr Sajith Cyriac, fostering deeper bonds of fraternity. The day concluded with a sumptuous family meal graciously prepared by the PDDM community.

A total of 18 participants attended the meeting. All expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to come together, share insights, and strengthen the spirit of unity within the Pauline Family.
