Provincial Assembly 2025 Reflecting, Reviewing, and Re-imagining A provincial assembly of all members was one of the recommendations of the XIX Provincial Chapter. Accordingly, the assembly was meticulously planned and held in four batches. The tagline of the Assembly was Reflect, Review, and Re-imagine. All four sessions of the Provincial Assembly 2025 were successfully completed at three different venues, bringing together members from across the Province to reflect on their shared mission and discuss key concerns. Reports on community life, vocation promotion and formation, financial administration, and apostolate for the last two years were presented by Fr Joby Mathew, Fr Prithvi Raj, Fr Sebastian Elavunkal and Fr Saju George, respectively. The first group of the assembly was held on 10 January 2025 in the community of Cochin. Eleven members participated in this session. As the participants were senior members, this session was limited to a single day. Despite its brevity, all participants actively engaged in discussions and contributed valuable suggestions for the welfare of the Province. The second and the third groups of the assembly were held on 14–15 and 17–18 January 2025 in the community of Bengaluru. They brought together 21 and 23 members in each batch, respectively, from different communities of the Province. Both batches began with a Eucharistic celebration at 6:30 A.M. Fr Sajith, the chief organiser of the Assembly, in his opening remarks, emphasised that the central theme—"Reflect, Review, and Re-imagine"—should serve as a guiding principle for growth and transformation in our life and mission. This was followed by a formal welcome address by Fr Saju George, who highlighted the importance of open sharing and discussion, which would also enable the Provincial Government to receive feedback and evaluate its performance. Presenting the report on spirituality and community life, Fr Joby Mathew recalled the theme of the 11th General Chapter and the 19th Provincial Chapter, which calls for transformation through the renewal of the mind (Rom12:2). He urged the members to reflect on how this message impacts their daily lives. Fr Joby Mathew also emphasised the importance of collaboration, mutual trust, and creating space for every member to share their insights. His address reinforced the primary purpose of the assembly: fostering mutual listening and revitalising the mission. The reports on vocation promotion and formation, financial administration, and Apostolate, highlighting the initiatives undertaken in the Province over the past two years, were presented by Frs Prithi Raj, Sebastian Elavunkal, and Saju George, respectively. Each of the report was followed by well-moderated discussions, which brought out all concerns and issues in these areas. Discussions were centred on key areas such as community life, vocation promotion and formation, financial administration, and apostolate, with the assembly’s theme, “Reflect, Review, and Re-imagine”. The fourth and final batch of the assembly was held in the Alberione hall, Mumbai, which had the highest number of participants. The assembly was held on 4 and 5 February 2025, with 49 members participating, including all the superiors and delegates. The assembly followed the same pattern as the earlier ones, with the presentation of reports which was followed by well-moderated, lively, and fruitful discussions on each of the areas of our life and mission. A day was set aside in each batch for a Renewal Programme on Pauline Charism and Apostolate, conducted by Fr Devasia Puthiyaparambil for the 2nd and 3rd groups in Bengaluru and by Fr Francis Dalmet for the final batch in Mumbai. Both of them, drawing from their deep understanding of Blessed James Alberione’s vision, presented the charism of the Founder in their own style and method, which inspired the participants to rekindle and renew their Pauline spirit and commitment. The successful organisation of the Assembly was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Superiors of Kochi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai and the collaboration of the members of these communities. Additionally, the Junior Brothers and Aspirants contributed significantly by providing supportive assistance and entertaining the participants with special cultural programmes for the batches in Bengaluru. The assembly gave a new thrust to the mission and urged the members to move ahead, overcoming every obstacle. This fraternal gathering also provided an opportunity for members to meet, share their joys and challenges, and grow in fraternal fellowship.
