The Golden Jubilee of the Religious Profession of Br Tarcitius Dung Dung was celebrated on Saturday July 03, 2021, at St Pauls House, Mumbai. We celebrated the deep relationship of Br Dung Dung with God and his Pauline ministry to God’s people. Recalling his call to Pauline way of life, in his introduction to the Jubilarian at the mass, Fr Renold Pascal gave a glimpse into the golden journey of Br Dung Dung. In a creative manner he also recalled the pioneering ways in which Brother kept his flame of love burning within him in the last Fifty years of Pauline life. Particularly, he played the three recorded voice testimonies of the Pauline members on Br Dung Dung. Truly, these testimonies raised the spirit of the celebration.
God’s faithfulness was celebrated through a Eucharistic celebration that was officiated by our Provincial Fr. Varghese Gnalian. In the homily he focussed his thoughts on thankfulness, joy and God’s call. It was a fitting moment to acknowledge in the name of the Congregation, the generous contribution, selfless sacrifices, inspiring life, and profound faith of Br Dung Dung which made him instrument of God’s unconditional mercy and love to thousands. He pointed out that Brother committed himself to the apostolate of the press throughout his life and his unassuming nature added colours to his life.
Br Dung Dung, in his vote of thanks address expressed his gratitude to God for having called him to the religious life and helping him to persevere in the vocation to Pauline life. In his words, “It is not I who am faithful to the call I received from Jesus the Divine Master but He who has called me is faithful in carrying out responsibilities entrusted to me.” With thankfulness he also recalled all the Pauline members who tirelessly worked for the meaningful celebration of the Golden Jubilee of his religious profession.
The Golden Jubilee celebrations came to an end with a delightful felicitation program followed by the fellowship meal.
