During the past few months, the department of Digital Apostolate in India has been trying to realize one of its major apostolic activities called St Pauls App. Fr. Shinto Devasia, the Director of the department and his team were preparing to realize this project by planning, designing, programming, structuralizing, data gathering etc. On Thursday 16th February 2017, Fr Michael Raj, the Provincial of India-Nigeria-UK-Ireland Province, released the preliminary Web, Android and IOS version of ST PAULS APP during the CAP ESW seminar held at Mumbai. The completion of the entire project will take another couple of months with a second launch and then the final launch. During the preliminary release, Fr Shinto Devasia along with his dedicated team, gave the audience a brief description and a quick demo of St Pauls App. He explained that ST PAULS App is primarily a Product through which our various activities are promoted. As for the Indian Church, it would become a channel of God’s Voice through the BIBLE CELL; a platform for enriching the soul through PRAYER CELL; helps the faithful to prepare themselves for the daily Eucharist through the GOD’S WORD FOR EACH DAY both in audio and in text; implants positive thoughts in the minds of the people through the creative and contextualized GOOD MORNING MESSAGES; the quick view at the LITURGY CALENDAR and the SAINT OF THE DAY help the users of ST PAULS APP to greater participation in the liturgy and spiritual growth; the mission of Christ—teaching, preaching and healing is carried out through our E-STORE. More features are soon awaited. Now the entire team of the digital department is heading towards its completion. While we thank Fr Shinto and his team for what they have accomplished, we wish them God’s blessings to bring it to completion.
