The Jubilarians Rev Fr (Dr) George Kaitholil and Rev Fr Thomas Muthirakalayil are the Pauline Formators and the Apostles of the Media Apostolate with humble heart, simplicity in approach and immensely committed to the Pauline community life and Apostolate,” said Fr Joseph Thulumpenmakel, during his homily at the Concelebrated Holy Mass. On Thursday, 20 August 2026, The Sacerdotal Jubilee Eucharistic celebration was celebrated at the Cardinal Parecattil, Renewal Centre, Ernakulam, Kerala. The day also marked the 112th Foundation Anniversary of the SSP. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr Joby Mathew, the Provincial Superior of India-Uk-Ireland Province of the Society of St Paul (SSP). The solemn Mass was celebrated in Syro-malabar rite and was well participated by the Pauline priests, brothers, sisters, relatives, friends and well-wishers. Namely, Rev. Fr Emmanuel Mundumuzhikara, the Superior and all our members from the community of Kozhikode and also some of the PDDM Sisters from Kozhikode. After the Holy Eucharist, a short felicitation program was held in the same hall.

Fr Provincial Superior felicitated Fr Kaitholil, while Fr Emmanuel Mundumuzhikara, the Superior of Kozhikode community adorned Fr Muthirakalayil with the shawl. In addition, the relatives handed over the gifts to the Jubilarians. Rev. Fr Thomas Ramayil skilfully compered the entire event and kept the audience active throughout the program. On this great occasion, Fr Joby Mathew, the Provincial, released the landmark 100 th book of Rev Fr George Kaitholil, titled “Appreciation: A Way to Grow and Let Grow”. T

here was a 15-minute documentary on each of the jubilarians, depicting the important events from their childhood to this day: vocation, formation, ordination, priestly ministry in the Congregation, studies, specialisation, and their great contributions to Pauline formation and the Editorial section. Rev. Fr Kaitholil proposed the vote of thanks and appreciated all participants for their presence. The memorable day ended with the agape; the jubilee lunch was prepared with the traditional Kerala cuisine. Rev. Fr K.V. Sebastian coordinated the jubilee lunch. All guests had a word praise and appreciation for the jubilee celebrations. The entire golden jubilee celebration was meticulously planned and executed by Rev, Fr Blaise Kandathil, the Superior and the members of the Ernakulam Community.

It is to be noted that the previous evening of the celebration proper, Rev. Fr Blaise Kandathil, the Superior of Ernakulam community, organised a community get-together cum dinner in honour of the Jubilarians. He also appreciated Fr Kaitholil and Fr Muthirakalayil for their unwavering commitment to the Pauline formation of the youngsters and also of the Pauline apostolate, specially that of publishing apostolate. With hearts overflowing with gratitude, the Paulines, the Priests, the Religious and the gathered faithful wished the jubilarians a joyous 'Ad multos annos'—praying that the golden grace of this day may sustain them for many more years of fruitful Pauline ministry.
