Ranchi: The Aspirants’ day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the community of Ranchi on the 27th July 2024. The day commenced with a special Mass, presided over by Father Francis Dalmet, the superior of the community. In his homily he advised the Aspirants to imitate their model, Maggiorino Vigolungo, whose conviction was that sanctity is possible even for the young by living a life of determination and love for God. He exhorted the boys to follow Maggiorino’s proposal, “progress a little everyday”, as the programme of life and to be faithful to this resolution until death.
In the afternoon a football match was organized for the whole community. The thrilling match ended with the Vigolungo team emerging as winners with a score of 5-4.
In the evening, a cultural programme that included dances, songs and skits, put up by the aspirants capped the celebrations. It was an excellent opportunity for the aspirants to showcase their talents. Fr Francis Dalmet, the Master of the Aspirants appreciated their performance and reminded them again to follow the motto of Maggiono Viglungo.
The celebration of this special day was concluded with prize distribution to the winning team and a sumptuous festive dinner.
