Mary Joseph Mangamthanath, beloved mother of Fr. Thomas M.J. of the Bangalore community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the age of 89 due to age-related ailments.
A funeral service was held in her honor on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Cherupushpam Church, Chandanakkampara, Kannur. Members of the Bangalore community, including Fr. Dominic D’Silva, the Superior, Fr. Joseph TC, and Fr. Devasia, joined Fr. Thomas in paying their respects. Several other priests and religious brothers, including Fr. Joby Mathew, the Provincial Superior of the Society of St. Paul, were present to offer condolences and prayers. Many of the teaching and non-teaching staff from St. Paul’s College also attended the funeral service at her hometown to offer their condolences.
The community of Bangalore celebrated a Holy Eucharist on Tuesday, July 23, the day of her passing away, to pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Mrs Mary Joseph.
