About 70 students and three faculty members of St Pauls College for Women, Bandra, undertook a study tour to the American Library situated within the US Consulate premises at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) on Tuesday, 27 February 2024. The aim of the visit was to familiarize oneself with the library resources, to foster information literacy and address contemporary issues related to misinformation. The students were briefed on the extensive range of resources available, including subscription-based access to academic databases, e-journals, and e-books covering diverse subjects.
The visit provided the students valuable insights into information literacy, equipped students with tools to discern credible sources from misinformation and familiarized them with essential resources for academic success. The documentary screening and the interactive sessions facilitated critical thinking among the participants furthering their intellectual development.
