Staff Training Programme, Chennai

Staff Training Programme for our Book Centre personnel belonging to the southern company, St Pauls Books and Media Pvt. Ltd, planned and organized by the department of HR in the Province is underway at the Divine Mercy premises, Chennai. The first batch of 13 staff attended the programme held on 7-8 February 2024. The overall feedback on the programme from the staff was very positive, be it for the contents or be it for the practicality of its application in the day-to-day management of our book centre apostolate.

The entire programme was coordinated by Fr Michael John, Director of Good Pastor International Book Centre, Chennai, and animated by Fr (Dr.) Dominic D’ Silva, Superior, Parish Priest and Rector of the Divine Mercy Shrine.  Dr Jude Kishore, a CA and HR expert, presented in a down-to-earth manner the professional aspects of our services.

The programme consisted of formal and informal input sessions at the Alberione Conference Hall and the premises of Good Pastor Book Centre, Parrys Corner, visits to Divine Mercy and other important Shrines in Chennai city and a short sight-seeing trip to some of the commercial centres of Chennai.

Some lighter moments were provided for the participants by our ‘magician father’, Fr Jose Paul, through his short but interesting magic show. The second group is scheduled to begin the programme on 14 February 2024.
