Hollywood Filmmaker and American Emmy Award winner, James Higginson who also teaches Filmmaking in Berlin, spent a whole day at SPICE interacting with the Media Students on 5 February 2024. His Master Class was based on his Award-winning Documentary ‘Shuddhi’ which revealed many truths about Hansen's disease (Leprosy) and the lives of those affected.
In the morning hours, he had a two-hour session with the undergraduate BAMMC students and in the afternoon with the Post Graduate Filmmaking students. Both groups had great learning about the film and the journey behind the making of this film.
Higginson is a passionate filmmaker with 30+ years of experience. He makes films for a cause and is willing to collaborate with SPICE's Department of Filmmaking. His visit has taken the institute to an international level.
