Joy of Christmas in Ranchi Community

THE JOY OF CHRISTMAS was celebrated at St Pauls ground on 17 December 2023, with traditional fervour and fanfare.  More than two hundred people came together to participate in the typically traditional celebrations of the day. Their prayers, followed by songs, dances and friendly competitions made the day beautiful and joyful. Most of the members of Ranchi community joined in this extravagant event. Almost the same number of people participated in the Christmas midnight Mass. Soon after the celebration of the Eucharist Fr Francis Dalmet blessed the crib and explained to the people that the ‘joy of Christmas’ would be meaningful only if they were  united as one community in love and service to one another. Songs and traditional dances filled the day and the merriment culminated in the sharing of the delicious food specially prepared for the occasion.
