Bandra : The department of ST PAULS Media Education (SPME) was established as one of the apostolic departments of our Province in the year 2013. A few months ago, a new team consisting of Fr (Dr) Sajith Cyriac, Director, Fr (Dr) Shaiju Joseph and Fr Renold Pascal was appointed by the provincial government to plan, organize and execute various educational activities and formation services in the field media education. During the last few months, the team have conducted several programmes in different schools, seminaries and religious formation houses. Fr Sajith has given programmes for student and teachers in Jamshedpur, Machilipatnam, Bangalore, Palakkad, and Gwalior. He also gave a course on Pastoral Communication to the deacons of St Ephrem’s Theological College in Satna, M.P.
Recently Fr Shaiju Joseph conducted a media workshop for students of Philosophy of the IMS Congregation and conducted two seminars in two schools of Varanasi, U.P. In collaboration with SPICE, Mumbai, Fr Renold organized a film making and screenwriting course for about 40 students. The SPME department does receive requests for different programmes, and the team is scheduling various programmes according to their availability as the team members are holding simultaneously other responsibilities in the Province.
