Bandra : Christmas@St Paul, Bandra, is an annual flagship event began in the year 2017. It started as an event organized by the students of SPICE for Women to feel, to celebrate and to share the true spirit of Christmas with everyone of good will and as a platform for local choirs to announce with their carol singing that the long awaited Christmas is already here!!
For this year’s Christmas, invitations have been already sent to our neighbouring educational institutions and parishes in Mumbai. The event is open to people of all age groups and religious faiths. Keeping in mind the true spirit of Christmas, the students will be conducting several outreach programmes such as visiting Shanti Avedna, Bandra, a Juvenile home and an orphanage in Santa Cruz carrying the message of peace, joy and hope to the inmates of these institutions. A blood donation drive is being organized by the NSS on 18 December in collaboration with the Holy Family Hospital, Bandra.
Another important feature of this year’s event is the Carol Singing Competition for which about 18 participants from various educational institutions and professional choir groups have already registered. The elimination round will take place on Monday, 18 December at 3 pm and the finals will be held on Tuesday, 19 December in the Alberione Hall, St Pauls Media Complex. In addition, different stalls selling scrumptious snacks and festive goodies will be put up by the students and NGO groups. A celebrity guest is expected to be present at the event and to share a Christmas message with the audience.
