After the corona impact, most of the religious communities in Vijayawada, have got used to low scale celebrations. Feast day celebrations are now confined to inviting only very close friends, neighbours and collaborators. Following the prevailing new trend, this year, we, the members of the Vijayawada community too, decided to invite for the feast of our Founder, Bl. James Alberione, only our close neighbours, friends and staff members. We had triduum, to prepare ourselves properly for the celebration.
On 26 Novemberall got up with a festive mood all around. The day's celebration began with the solemn Holy Mass by Fr Wilson Thekkanath. Before noon, all the invitees joined us for a short prayer meeting led by Fr Wilson. It was followed by a sumptuous and delicious meal, arranged by Fr Varghese, Br Arul, kitchen staff and postulants. The postulants had put in their best efforts to keep the compound clean and tidy. As a whole, it was a short, sweet and memorable celebration, worth remembering at least for some time.
