Fr Johnson Chacko, who has been a missionary to Nigerian land and was Coordinator of Apostolate in Nigeria from September 2016 to March 2018, left his office in Nigeria to take up the responsibility of the General Editor of our Publications in India. Fr Johnson took up the office with hardly any experience and prior knowledge in the field. But through hard work and dedication, he mastered his role and took control of the affairs. He managed the office with ease and efficiency as well as professionalism and firmness. His characteristic way of dealing with persons and issues has helped our Apostolate to grow in strength and well organized. The Congregation and the members in Nigeria owe him a huge debt of gratitude. We wish him Gods blessings and every success in his new responsibility.
In the evening 23rd march, in a simple but moving ceremony, Fr Johnson handed over the office of the coordinator of Apostolate in Nigeria to Fr Siji Pannakathil. Fr Jikson M, the Provincial Councillor for Nigeria, presided over the ceremony and explained the need for team work in order to succeed and grow in our mission. Fr Sebastian Thomas, the DGA, explained the role of the coordinator of Apostolate in the region and thanked Fr Johnson for guiding the Apostolate of the region for the last couple of years. Fr Siji Pannakathil, accepting the office, requested the prayers and co operation of all the members. We Congratulate and welcome the new Coordinator of Apostolate in Nigeria.
