MEDIA EDUCATION IN SCHOOL

With the aim of instilling among students the need to understand the impact of media on our culture, Fr (Dr) Plavendran will conduct two sessions in St Francis Xavier Girls’ High School, Bangalore. The theme of the media awareness programme is Understanding the Digital Age. The first session with the students is planned for 4^th of November and the second session will be held on 7^th November. In these interactive sessions with the students, Fr Plavendran will discuss with them the scale and speed with which we receive information and its impact on our culture. In addition, he will also explain to the students how fake news is created and how to tackle it. He will also stress the need to understand the digital age and the way digital platforms are changing our life today. Congrats to Dr Plavendran for conducting media awareness courses and thus involving himself fully in the media apostolate.
