In an effort to speed up the sale of Arul Vakku 2018 (Tamil Bible diary), Frs Stephen and Plavendran visited a few shrines and religious stalls in the dioceses of Chengalpattu, Salem, Coimbatore and Trichy. The response was overwhelming as most of the Rectors of the shrines and the Directors of the religious Book & Article Centres placed order for the Tamil Bible diary. This was not only an occasion to ensure sale of Bible Diary but also to strengthen the ties with the pastoral centres of the dioceses and to establish contacts with the Directors of these Book Centres.

During this trip, Fr Plavendran was able to obtain the copyright for Thaikku Thalattu, a fast moving title on Mother Mary for Nallayan Pathippagam (Tamil Publications). It is a book on Mary written in a lucid manner for the common people.

While promoting the diary, they also contacted persons who were willing to contribute reflections for the Diary for the coming years. Some of the authors have expressed their willingness to publish their books with Nallayan Pathipagam

They made use of this occasion to seek permission to conduct media related courses in Good Shepherd Seminary in Coimbatore and a national level seminar in Loyola College, Chennai, in collaboration with SPICE Mumbai and Bangalore. Thanks to Frs Plavendran and Stephan for making great efforts for the promotion of Tamil Bible diary and for making use of this opportunity to plan for our future apostolic projects in the field of media.
