BYB BOOK-LAUNCH@TITLE WAVES

Over 100 enthusiastic booklovers gathered in Title Waves to witness the launch of a BYB title, “The Spiritual Paradox of Addiction” by Dr Ashok Bedi MD and Rev. Joseph H. Pereira. This book is the fruit of several years of hands-on study as well as regular workshops both in India and in America by the authors. The book is a blend of Science and Faith. The acknowledgement of a ‘faith deficit’ in the recovery of addiction by Dr Carl Gustav Jung motivated the authors to make this insight known to the professionals as well as the afflicted world of addiction. The aspect of finding an apparatus to make this very difficult move from a thirst for addictive substances and behaviour into the original thirst for Love and God, is the object of this work. Launching the book, Bishop Agnelo Gracias, Auxiliary Bishop (Emeritus) of Bombay, applauded the spiritual contribution of Fr Joe Pereira (of Kripa Foundation) to people all over India and abroad through his work. He said that this book will reiterate the role of God in helping people stay dry of chemicals.  Congratulations to Fr Joby Mathew, the General Editor and the editorial team for coordinating the entire event.
