ST PAULS COLLEGE, Bengaluru, the one year old baby, had its inauguration of its academic year 2017-18 on Wednesday, 28 June 2017. The programme was named ‘PAULARAMBA ’17: ‘Paul’ refers to our patron Saint Paul, 'Aaramba' in Kannada means commencement. Honorable Justice (Ret.) Sathosh Hegde was the Chief Guest. Fr Varghese Gnalian, Chairperson, Fr Prithvi Raj Philip, Principal, Fr Sebastian Thomas, Administrator and Fr Joseph T.C, one of the board members of ST PAULS COLLEGE attended the inauguration of new academic year.

Fr Prithvi Raj Philip, the Principal, cordially welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering for ‘PAULARAMBA ’17. He also introduced to the students and parents the history, motto, vision and mission of ST PAULS COLLEGE.

Honourable Justice (Ret.) Santosh Hegde, speaking on the occasion, exhorted the gathering to become aware of the prevailing scams in India. He stated that the root cause for the corruption in India is greed and the remedy for this social evil is the virtue of contentment. He said: “Become whatever you want to be but first be a human being.” The students, parents and well-wishers who attended PAULARAMBA ’17 listened attentively to the authoritative message delivered by the Chief-Guest for the day.

Fr Gnalian Varghese, reminded the students to value time and to manage it carefully to excel in their studies. He also invited the students to spend quality time with their parents as well as with lecturers to benefit from their rich experiences. 

On Thursday, 29 July 2017, the students attended Life Skill Development Programmes, which was conducted by trained resources persons from various colleges and from different industries. These sessions prepared the students to approach this academic year with a big dream to become professionals for a better tomorrow. Congrats to Fr Prithvi, the management and the staff for organizing this event so meaningfully. We wish you God's blessing for the success of the new academic year that you began.
