Fr Jose Pottayil, General Councillor and the President of CTIA, and Fr Celso Godilano, General Councillor and member of SIF accompanied by Fr. Devasia Puthiyaparambil, the Director General of Apostolate (India-Nigeria-UK-Ireland) made a visit to ST PAULS COLLEGE and SPICE, Bengaluru from 20 to 21 February 2017.
The visit began with a guided tour around the campus led by Fr. Prithvi Raj, the Director of the College. Then the visitors spent time in meeting the management. At the outset of this meeting, the General Councillors congratulated the management for creating quality infrastructure. During the meeting, Fr. Jose Pottayil explained a few fundamental principles regarding the management of the college. The meeting with the management was followed by an interaction with the teaching faculty of the college. Fr. Prithvi Raj introduced the visitors to the faculty and they welcomed the visitors with bouquet of flowers. Fr. Devasia explained the role and the involvement of the General Government in the apostolic activities of the Congregation. The visitors conveyed to the faculty that the purpose of the meeting was to meet them personally and to convey their best wishes for the work they have begun. While appreciating the generous service they render, the General Councillors emphasized that our educational institute should be unique for the quality education we impart and for the facilities we provide. On behalf of the faculty Mr Jenin explained that the programmes followed by the college are on par with other colleges and our main focus is media education. Besides the regular curriculum, the faculty pays special attention for the cultural formation of the students. The meeting continued with a lively interaction of the faculty with the visitors. The visit has really instilled enthusiasm among the faculty and on their part they promised greater contribution for the growth of the Institute.
