On February 18, 2017 Idente Missionaries were at ST PAULS COLLEGE and SPICE, Bengaluru, to introduce about the World Youth Parliament to our faculty, students and few youth from St Pauls Church. ST PAULS CAMPUS was honoured with the presence of Sr. Lorena, Idente Missionary from Ecuador and Br Arul, Idente Missionary from Kerala who animated the meeting.
World Youth Parliament (WYP) is a platform for students and youth from all sections of the society to come together and discuss on a topic that forms a better society. Once in every 2 years, a topic is chosen at a global level and it is discussed among the youth from different countries. Every youngster is encouraged to contribute his or her ideas, suggestions, experiences, art, short films etc. pertaining to the particular topic. Such contributions are represented at a global level meet held in a country. The topic for this year: “Inter Personal Relationships: Keys for a New Civilization” and the global meet will be held in China. Sr. Lorena briefed about the mission and vision of the world Youth Parliament and also encouraged our students and the youth to take active participation in the forthcoming events. She also welcomed them to avail of the opportunity to represent in the upcoming meet in China. World Youth Parliament is a wonderful opportunity for our students as well as others to be at the ST PAULS CAMPUS to discuss and play a pivotal role to build a global society based on human values. We are grateful to Xavier Rasquinha who took the initiative to bring the Idente Missionaries who organize the World Parliament to our campus.
