It was a memorable day at ST PAULS COLLEGE, Bengaluru, with the 1st ever Inter-Collegiate Degree and Intermediate (PU) Art Fest “PAULAKALA '17” hosted and conducted by the management, faculty and students of St Pauls College on 24th January 2017. Rev Fr. (Dr.) Devasia Puthiyaparambil, the Director General, was the chief guest for the day.  

PAULAKALA consists of events like Photography, Artistic Corner, Nail Art,  Mehandi, Collage, Street Play, Quiz, Face Painting, Best Out of Waste, Vegetable Carving, Cooking Without Fire, Group Dance,  etc. Over 300 students from 18 colleges participated in this event. The participants were very happy with the hospitality and support from the staff and the students of ST PAULS. The aspirants from the community of Bengaluru gave their generous support for conducting this event. The representatives from the colleges took part in all the events possible with full enthusiasm and in a very competitive manner.

Along with the events, the College also conducted a Short Film Workshop for the participants. This event too had an overwhelming participation with over 80 students taking part. The students of this workshop learnt the techniques and the various ways of handling camera and making short films.

It was a day filled with tremendous hard work and team spirit which brought recognition to our College among the other colleges from the city.  St. Teresa PU College won the overall championship; AIMS Institute was crowned winners; St. Claret Degree College took the overall runners-up. Congratulations to Fr. Prithvi Raj, the Director, the management, the faculty and the students of the College. A special word of appreciation goes to our young aspirants who gave their wholehearted support for the success of this event.
