International Technical Committee for the Apostolate (CTIA), an international body for Apostolate of the Society of St Paul, is organizing a seminar on “Pauline Mission in the context of multi-religious, multi-cultural and multi-linguistic realities” from 14th to 17th February 2017 for the CAP-ESW (Conference of Asia Pacific and English Speaking World) circumscriptions. It is organized taking into consideration the Priority 1.1 («Creatively renew our missionary impetus at the service of the Word with new sustainable initiatives for the non-believers, the distant ones and the poor [cf. Evangelii Gaudium], with new openings, in new territories, with the new languages of communication») and the Operative Guidelines 1.1.1 («The General Government evaluate and support the projects which the Circumscriptions have started or are intending to promote to be present in new territories, especially those of the “periphery”») and 1.1.4 («The circumscription Governments include in the Apostolic Project collaboration with the Church and other Christian Denominations, and insert in the same Project initiatives directed towards non believers, the distant ones and the poor») of our X General Chapter and on the recommendations of CTIA. The seminar will reflect on the challenges that the Pauline mission faces in situations where Christianity is a minority or almost insignificant as a religion or as a culture. Fr Jose Pottayil, General Councillor and the President of CTIA, will coordinate the entire programme. As preliminary part in preparation for the seminar, a few committees are formed in India and Fr. Jose Pottayil met the groups to discuss strategies for the smooth organization of the seminar.
